This dreadnought was built for stage use first, studio second — the player performs mostly unamplified in small rooms, so raw acoustic volume mattered more than usual.
Mahogany back and sides keep the low end controlled rather than boomy, which matters a lot at dreadnought size; a rosewood back on a body this size can get muddy under a hard strumming hand. Sitka spruce top, bone nut and saddle, a slightly wider nut width than standard to suit the player’s hand.
Setup was finished on-site with the player rather than shipped blind, which we do for every steel-string leaving the bench.
